AQUASWIM REMEMBERS DVIR

THE DVIR BARAZANI PROJECT

The mission: Never give up! Win!
You need to look fear in the face and step on it.

— Dvir Barazni

At just 20 years old, Dvir Barazani’s life was tragically cut short in the war in Gaza on November 19, 2023. Serving as a fighter in the 890th Battalion of the Paratroopers Brigade, Dvir fought fiercely for the defense of the homeland and the rescue of the residents of Kibbutz Bari.

Dvir’s passion for swimming and coaching was more than just a career—it was his way of showing others the power of water to heal, build confidence, and help overcome any challenge.

At AquaSwim, we share his belief that you can overcome anything through water, whether through swimming lessons, lifeguard training, or aquatherapy.

Dvir’s spirit continues to inspire us. We honor his memory by carrying forward his message of resilience and hope in every aspect of what we do.

A hero's tribute

Dvir Barazani was a man of deep integrity, whose actions mirrored his values. He was a true friend, a fighter for justice, and a kind soul who excelled in everything he pursued.

Dvir absorbed values of love and kindness, which he carried with him throughout his life. As a member of the Ezra youth movement, he was a natural leader. At just 13, Dvir co-founded the Tamid project, repairing and donating nearly a thousand computers to families in need, earning the "President's Award for Volunteer Youth."

Dvir was passionate about technology and athletics, excelling as a swimmer in the Greater Jerusalem Association and later as a coach.
He also led street workout sessions, inspiring a community of friends and athletes.

In every space he entered, Dvir spread love, truth, and justice with humility. On November 19, 2023, he tragically lost his life in the war in Gaza, serving as a fighter in the 890th Battalion of the Paratroopers Brigade, defending his homeland and rescuing residents of Kibbutz Bari.

Dvir’s legacy lives on, inspiring us at AquaSwim to carry forward the values he cherished.
May his memory be blessed.

"Dvir knew how to make time for others, sharing his knowledge and teaching anyone who wanted to learn and engage in sports like him. He gave from his heart, always seeing others and offering help with a big, open heart in any way he could."
