  • What’s the difference between physical therapy and aquatic therapy at AquaSwim?
Physical therapy and aquatic therapy both aim to improve physical function and well-being, but they differ significantly in their approaches and environments. Physical therapy typically takes place on land and involves exercises and treatments designed to restore movement and reduce pain in various parts of the body. On the other hand, aquatic therapy at AquaSwim utilizes the unique properties of water to aid in rehabilitation and exercise. The buoyancy of water reduces stress on joints and muscles, making it an ideal environment for low-impact exercise. Our aquatic therapy sessions are tailored to enhance flexibility, strength, and overall fitness while providing a gentle and effective method of healing. AquaSwim's approach emphasizes the therapeutic benefits of water, offering a serene and supportive atmosphere for recovery and physical improvement. Whether you're recovering from an injury or looking to boost your physical health through low-impact exercises, aquatic therapy at AquaSwim offers a distinctive and beneficial alternative to traditional physical therapy.
